There are two components of a shopper's earnings for each order they complete:

  1. The shopping & delivery fee that shoppers set per store
  2. Tips

Unlike Instacart, shoppers are guaranteed a tip that’s a minimum of 10% per order (the average is currently 13%). We put tips front and center for clients and clearly explain the entire tip goes to the shopper.

Tips get applied to the whole order size. What does this mean? The bigger the order, the bigger the tip a shopper will receive.

For example, if a customer orders $75 worth of groceries, the shopper would receive a minimum tip of $7.50 for that order. If a customer orders $180 worth of groceries, the shopper would receive a minimum tip of $18 for that order.

dumpling gets paid $5 per order, which is deducted from a shopper's earnings before
being distributed.

Putting it all together:

The average delivery fee is $12
The average tip is 13%
The average order size is $175

Average Shopper's Earning per order is $29.75

$12 Delivery Fee + 22.75 Tip ($175 * 13%) - $5 = $29.75
