What’s Different
There are a few logistical changes to keep in mind as you consider switching to Aisle8.
New app, new name, new account: Aisle8 is completely separate from Dumpling Pro. It is not compatible with the Boss App. You and your clients will be required to create new accounts. You'll receive instructions on how to install the web app after you sign up for Aisle8.
Fees: 8% platform fee calculated on the order total, excluding gratuity, paid by the client. Message us if you prefer to pay the platform fee. The processing fee is 2.2% + 30¢ calculated on the order total. Business Owners are responsible for paying processing fees. With Aisle8, you get your own Stripe payment processing account, so are also responsible for disputes and associated fees. The monthly subscription fees for Aisle are $9/mo for the Side Gig plan, $34/mo for the Main Gig plan, and $59/mo for the Tycoon plan. See details here.
Account Management: Aisle8 and Dumpling Boss are separate services, and a new Stripe account will be set up during onboarding. If you have both active, you will have two subscriptions and receive two separate 1099-K forms at the end of the year.
SMS Messaging: To keep the platform lightweight and accessible via browser, Aisle8 uses SMS (text messaging) for client communication rather than in-app or automated messages.
