How do I customize my client's fee?

Customize your pricing per client

Written by Dumpling Team

Sometimes, to provide the best customer experience, business owners need to utilize custom pricing. Custom pricing can include discounts like a senior discount or a multi-store discount. Business owners may also include fees such as a distance fee or a fee for putting groceries away.

Dumpling Pay makes it easy to set custom fees per client. Once the fee is set, it overrides your default; however, you will still be able to edit the invoice as you need.

To edit fees per customer, navigate to the Clients tab. From there, scroll down to "Service Fees" and tap on the pencil.

Tap "Add Fee" to add a fee that you want to charge every time, such as a fee for putting away groceries or a toll.

Once you click on "Save," your custom fee will be saved, and your client will be charged that fee with every order.

You can also opt to set a default gratuity per client. To do this, scroll below "Service Fees" on the client's information screen and click the pencil icon. After you set the default gratuity, new orders will automatically have that set unless the client changes it.

After you've set your fees for your client, you will see "Custom" next to anything you've customized for them.

To change it back to your default, tap on Service Fees or Gratuity and then tap "Reset to Owner Default."
