When it comes to running a business, one of the most beneficial things for you to learn is how to best communicate with clients. Communication is one of the many ways that can help to set your business apart from the competition, so don’t be afraid to stay in contact. You can communicate with clients via the in app chat on the Boss app or via text if you prefer.

Here are some ideas on how you can strengthen the relationship between you and your clients.

  1. We have found that staying in communication with your clients while shopping their order gives them a sense of ease. So don’t be afraid to communicate too much! They appreciate the customer service, and knowing that you are willing to take the time to get them exactly what they need.

  2. Be on the lookout for the client preferences survey! This survey will give you some key details about what your clients preferences are, this also includes communication preferences.

  3. Ask your clients if they would like you to send a message when you’re on your way to their home.

“My expected arrival to [Delivery Address] is in approximately [#] minutes ⏱. Please let me know if you have any specific delivery instructions. See you soon!

  4. Send follow up messages after you have delivered the order-

“It was my pleasure to shop and deliver your [Store Name] order today. Thank you for using [insert business name], I appreciate your business and support 🤝!”

  5. If you are needing to make a change in the delivery time/date, make replacements for out of stock items, reach out to the client for approval before doing so. Always make sure to get the clients ok for any changes to their order. If you are running late on a delivery, make sure you are reaching out to your clients so they are aware. Clients know that we are a small business that is typically run solo, so just make sure to keep them in the loop.

  6. If your client has not yet placed an order or it has been a few weeks, consider reaching out and letting them know they can contact you anytime with questions they may have.

    Hello [Customer Name]!

I just wanted to take a moment and see if you had any questions about my personal shopping services or the dumpling app since your initial download?

Feel free to contact me via phone, text, or email 📱 with any inquiries. If not, I hope to fulfill your next order soon!”

  7. We now have an in-app Auto Messaging feature included in our subscription! Under the Pro tab you can set up 3 different automated messages with your own text.
