How Do I Complete a Friendly Order?

Your step-by-step guide to completing a friendly order on Dumpling Pay

Completing a friendly order is the final step to completing onboarding. This is an actual order to help you understand how the apps and the system work before you start accepting client orders. This will help you ensure a smooth experience for both you and your clients!

Make sure your Boss Card is ready to go!

It's important to make sure your Boss Card has been added to your virtual wallet. You can view your Boss Card by tapping Account, then "Boss Card." Follow the instructions below your Boss Card to add it to your wallet.

Important Notes: Verify the store you're going to accepts virtual cards. Currently, Walmart does not. Instead, you can add your Boss Card to Walmart Pay and use Walmart Pay at the checkout. You'll want to check in with Dumpling Support before you head to the store, so we can make sure Walmart Pay will be accepted on your card. You can also order a physical card to use instead.

Create a new client in the Owner App

For a friendly order, ideally, you'll be your first client. If you prefer to have a friend or family member help with this part, you can follow the same instructions, just with their information instead!

Navigate to the Clients tab of the Owner App. Tap on the "Add Client" button and enter the client's name. Note: If you want to text them a signup link, add a phone number and tap the button next to "Text them a signup link." They'll receive a text when you tap "Add Client."

If you chose not to text a link, follow the next steps below. 👇🏻

You can now see your client's information. From here, tap on "Invite *client name* to sign up" to see a couple of options. You can copy the whole message and paste it into a text or email, or you can choose to copy only the link to paste into a text or email.

Create the order

On the client's information page, tap "Create Order." Select the store, delivery date, time, edit the service fee if applicable, and tap "Create Order."

When viewing the order, you can also add items to the list for your client. Tap on "Browse Catalog" to add items from within the store's catalog, or tap on the cart to quickly type in items or use Bao AI to create a list.

Once you've added items, tap on the cart, then "I'm done" in the top right corner.

Important Note: Your Boss Card will be funded for $10 regardless of what is on the list. For your friendly order, we recommend one or two small items so that you do not go over this amount.

Add a payment method

Use the invitation link to finish setting up your client account.

Shop the order

When you arrive at the store, be sure to enter shopping mode by tapping "Start Shopping" and moving the slider to the right. This ensures your Boss card is turned on.

Complete the order

Once you've paid for your item(s) with the Boss Card, navigate to the invoice and upload a photo of the receipt to attach the transaction.
